GENERAL

  • Our main goal is to promote educational opportunities in Ethiopia and to develop an innovative school concept that helps pupils to lead self-determined and free lives.

  • Ethiopia faces unique challenges and opportunities in the education sector, and we are firmly convinced that we can make a lasting impact here. What's more, our Chairman of the Foundation Board is half Ethiopian (half Swiss), so he knows the local culture and mentality well and is very close to the country and its people.

  • You can support us with donations via our website or find out about other ways to support us financially.

  • We are committed to various educational projects, including school renovations, new buildings, teacher development and innovative curricula and concepts. It is important to us to pursue and implement a holistic approach.

  • Our selection is based on needs analyses, geographical accessibility and willingness to cooperate.

  • Yes, we organize volunteer programs where you can help on the ground in Ethiopia. For specific interest please contact us.

  • We are subject to the Swiss tax authorities and are constantly audited.

  • Culture is an integral part of our approach and is integrated into the curriculum to celebrate diversity and strengthen cultural identity.

  • We create a respectful space for spiritual development and offer students the opportunity to search for meaning and connection (regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, etc.).

  • Our educational philosophy emphasizes self-determined learning, critical thinking and preparation for a free and fulfilling life, always taking into account the context of the country and the respective region. The environment and natural surroundings are taken into account and various potentials are examined.

  • Over the past 20 years, we have built and renovated schools, trained teachers, educated apprentices and introduced innovative teaching methods that improve educational outcomes. We will keep you up to date on projects and their progress. Subscribe to our newsletter here and/or follow our BLOG posts and the projects section.

  • We are actively committed to promoting the education of girls and women and offer targeted programs. However, we do not focus exclusively on this.
